As soon as David joined the team we set about using his 30 years experience in construction to develop a unique survey and framework for addressing the various people challenges facing the sector and specifically;
- Reports that productivity in construction is 25% lower than in 1997
- Construction News Mental Health Survey 2018 findings that 25% of workers in construction said they had thought about suicide in the last 12 months
So we officially launched our new Employee Engagement and Wellbeing Survey at the OXO Tower in London on 28 September.
We had a fantastic turnout with guests from across the industry interested to hear what we had to say and perhaps also attracted by the amazing view and breakfast!
The star of the show however was James Bailey, CEO of Hailsham Roadways.
A few months back James kindly agreed to be a guineapig for our new service. He started with the employee survey – the survey is a specifically designed diagnostic tool collecting information that will tell you where to focus in order to boost productivity, engagement and wellbeing. It contains 40 carefully selected questions; is dyslexia friendly and provides insight on staff turnover, wellbeing and safety as well as employee engagement, inclusion and diversity.
James gave a fabulous endorsement of what we do describing the work we did as pivotal for his business – more of that another time!
