It’s rare that either David or myself are lost for words but that is exactly what happened during our talk at the wellbeing summit last week.
We put a question to our audience and we were dumbstruck by the response;
“How many people here today know of a colleague who has tried to or succeeded in taking their own life?”
There was an overwhelming and shocking show of hands.
We couldn’t speak. There was no need to.
We didn’t count but I estimate that 90% of the people in that room raised their hands.
Thats why everyone in construction needs to take action on mental wellbeing.
